Sorbent Barrier Sleeve
Sorbent Barrier Sleeves (set of 6 pieces)
A set of sorbent sleeves, 120 cm long and 11 cm in diameter, made of durable polyester non-woven fabric, allows for the creation of an effective oil and petroleum barrier from 1 to 6 meters on a stream, standing water, spill, or solid surface to prevent contamination and collect the contaminating substance.
The barrier sleeves are filled with water-repellent (hydrophobic) polyurethane sorbent. The sorbent filling comes 100% from recycling processes carried out as part of the circular economy (circular product).
The product is intended for the absorption and containment of petroleum spills on water and land surfaces.
Absorbency: minimum 36 liters of absorbed substance. The filling (Re-Absorbent Oil granular sorbent) has a Certificate from the National Institute of Public Health and a Certificate of Approval from the Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection, National Research Institute.
Instructions for Use:
Connect the sleeves using tape and loop fastenings to the necessary length to contain the spill and deploy the barrier around the spill, on a stream, or a solid surface. Monitor the saturation level and replace the barrier when full. Depending on the type and scale of contamination, the sorbent sleeve barrier can be used in conjunction with additional granular sorbent.
Disposal of Used Sorbent Sleeve:
Used sleeves should be treated as hazardous waste due to the absorbed petroleum substance. Place in a container designated for hazardous waste and follow applicable environmental protection regulations. Used sleeves can constitute a high-calorific input for the production of alternative fuel and be used for energy recovery.
When working with sorbent sleeves, it is recommended to use appropriate personal protective equipment (protective gloves, protective clothing if necessary). Avoid direct contact with the collected petroleum substance.
Store in a dry and ventilated place, away from heat sources and open flames. Protect from mechanical damage.
Limitations of Use:
Do not use for the absorption of aggressive chemicals or substances of unknown composition. Avoid contact with sharp objects that may damage the material. Do not use in extremely high temperatures.
