Oil Absorbent Booms (Set of 6)
A set of absorbent booms, 120 cm long and 11 cm in diameter, made from durable polyester non-woven fabric. This set allows for the creation of an effective oil and petroleum barrier ranging from 1 to 6 meters on streams, standing water, spills, or solid surfaces. This secures the area against contamination and helps collect pollutants. The barrier booms are filled with water-repellent (hydrophobic) polyurethane sorbent. The sorbent filling is 100% sourced from recycling processes within a circular economy (a circular product). The use of recycled materials significantly contributes to reducing the carbon footprint. The product is designed for absorbing and containing petroleum substance spills on water and land surfaces.
Absorbency: Minimum 36 liters of absorbed substance. The granular sorbent Re-Absorbent Oil is certified by the National Institute of Public Health and has an approval certificate from the Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute.
How to Use:
Connect the booms using tape and loop fastenings to achieve the necessary length for spill containment. Deploy the barrier around the spill, on a stream, or a solid surface. Monitor the saturation level and replace the barrier once it is full. Depending on the type and scale of contamination, the sorbent boom barrier can also be used in conjunction with granular sorbent.
Disposal of Used Absorbent Booms:
Used booms should be treated as waste requiring special handling due to the absorbed petroleum substances. Place in a container designated for special waste and proceed according to applicable environmental protection regulations. Used booms can serve as a high-caloric input for the production of alternative fuel and can be used for energy recovery. When working with absorbent booms, it is recommended to use appropriate personal protective equipment (protective gloves, and protective clothing if necessary). Avoid direct contact with the collected petroleum substance. Store in a dry and ventilated place, away from heat sources and open flames. Protect from mechanical damage.
Limitations:
Do not use for the absorption of aggressive chemicals or substances of unknown composition. Avoid contact with sharp objects that may damage the material. Do not use in extremely high temperatures.
